Theater. Theater has been a love of mine since I was 8 years old. I act, direct, and produce for the theater. I also teach children about Shakespeare.

I'm very excited for two projects this spring. First, I'll be directing for Pinky Swear Productions. We open "Killing Women" on April 21. After that, I'll be acting with the Hub Theater in their production of "Big Love" by Charles Mee.  It's going to be a great year, creatively!

KILLING WOMEN
(work space)

So... this is a place where I'm posting inspiration items for Pinky Swear's production of "Killing Women". It's basically a mood board/gathering place for other art that inspires me

as a director. It also functions as a resource for the designers and actors in the show.

Enjoy!

This is a combine by Bob Rauschenberg. It speaks to me in regards to the play because of its qualities of feminism and chaos. The delicate model, the rooster (farm life, kitchens) the pink polka dots... all so feminine. The tears and blobs of paint that disrupt and clutter. Combined these represent the frantic state of the women in the play, struggling with their identities as workers, mothers and lovers.

I've been hunting for the right inspirational music. This isn't music that will go in the show, rather it's music that expresses what I feel about the show. I've been listening to these amazing pop/punk/rock bands, like The Waitresses, Nikki and the Corvettes, Joan Jett and Blondie.

I still haven't found the perfect song, (when I directed "Macbeth" it was Missy Elliot's "Get Ur Freak On") but I've got a month until we start rehearsals. In the mean time, here's a close second.
